Fierce Comics today announced an agreement with iVerse Media to make the Fierce Comics line of comic books available on Apple Inc.’s iTunes store for use on the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad.  The agreement covers the current line of titles, including Redneck Red and The Maniacal Smile, and will include additional titles as released.

“The agreement with iVerse is a significant milestone in our digital go-to-market strategy,” said Pat Batton, Fierce Comics’ Director of Digital Media.  “iVerse is a premier digital comics provider and a very important part of our growth plan.”  Fierce Comics intends to launch its digital titles with the popular Maniacal Smile/Comic Jumper Xbox game crossover issue, which was recently released.

The digital version of the crossover book is expected to be released in the coming months, with additional books following. “We’re excited about the addition of Fierce Comics to our line card,” said Steve May, iVerse’s Director of Business Development.  “They’re an excellent example of the rapidly growing independent comic book market that is flourishing at iVerse.”
