Two Tampa Bay comic shops will feature members of the Fierce Comics team on Free Comic Book Day.

Fierce Comics today announced the company’s Tampa Bay appearances in support of Free Comic Book Day, 2011. The event, held the first Saturday in May each year, has been a mainstay in the comic book industry since 2002.
This year, the Fierce Comics team will split up to cover multiple locations. “We have a tremendous and loyal fan base in the Tampa Bay area, so we felt spreading out would be a more fan-friendly way to handle this year’s event,” said Ben Filipiak, Fierce Comics’ Publisher.
The company’s core creative team will attend the Free Comic Book Day celebrations at two popular Tampa Bay locations. Ben Filipiak and Rob Rhine will appear at Heroes Haven, located at 4339 Gunn Highway, Tampa FL 33618, between 12:00PM – 4:00PM. Pat Batton and Mike Foss will appear at Yancy Street Comics, located at 3615 Universal Plaza, New Port Richey, FL 34653, between 11:00AM – 3:00PM.
Copies of Fierce Comics’ popular titles will be available to purchase, including a limited number of pre-release editions of the first Fierce Comics trade paperback, featuring the Maniacal Smile.
