Fierce Comics announced today the release of a one-shot Maniacal Smile comic book titled A Tale of Two Smileys. The book guest stars Captain Smiley from Twisted Pixel Games’ upcoming X-Box Live release, Comic Jumper and is part of a collaboration between both companies to expand the awareness of their characters.
As part of the collaboration, The Maniacal Smile makes an appearance in the Comic Jumper game and gamers have the ability to unlock a Maniacal Smile comic book to read in the game. “We’re excited about the opportunity to showcase The Maniacal Smile in a new format,” said Rob Rhine creator of the Maniacal Smile. “Awareness of the character has grown a lot over the last thirteen years and now that the book is part of the Fierce Comics lineup, its available to comic shops all over the world, so we’re starting to look more seriously at complimentary products to offer, either directly or through licensing.”
